Ok to apply heat to brake valve?

Regarding the brass fitting that is on a bracket that fastens to the frame below and forward from the master cylinder, and which receives three brake lines and has the fitting for thr brake warning light:
The fitting for the brake line that crosses over the car along the front crossmember comes in from the bottom. I'm trying to get that fitting off with the brass on the car and the other lines connected. Is it okay to use heat, or am I destroying something inside if I do? I'd remove the warning light fitting because I know there's a rubber seal in that.

    Mike,

Try CRC Freeze Off before you try heat. Spray freeze off half dozen times at a couple of minute intervals. Works good on steel studs in aluminum intake.

Hadn't had any luck with that before on some other applications. Tried it today and it worked. Thanks, Gary!

        Mike,

My experience with CRC Freeze Off is with dissimilar metals and spraying 4 or 5 times at 3 or 4 minute intervals.

Used that method on an FI intake and it loosen the old studs where they turned quite easily.

        Glad it worked for you.
