    Rear shock mount part numbers

I've got a bunch of my 63 rear suspension parts cleaned and laid out for reassembly, but I think I may have mixed up the RH and LH shock mounts. I don't have AIM here right now, so, does anybody know which part goes where? Further complicating matters, for some reason my iPhone pics are posting upside down on the forum, so please don't get confused by this pic

    Thanks,
    Mike

    Thanks,
    Michael,

There should be a casting number on each. Part numbers ending in odd numbers are generally left/drivers side and even numbers are generally right/pass side. There are a few exceptions to this rule but not for these parts.

I think the seven digit numbers for std suspension end in 929 left and 930 right.

Thanks Michael, I have a standard suspension. The parts end in 929 and 930, so I can figure out which side to put them on now.

I've heard the left-side-odd, right-side-even rule before, but this is a 63, so, as with any typical 63 occurrence, I figure that the minute I use that rule, I'm sure I'll run into the exception

Yes, for 63, almost anything is possible.

There are some numbers that are reversed. A good example would be parts that are also used for a different car line, such as wheel cylinders for a full size pass car. The wheel cyl's are used on the opposite sides for pass car. Since the primary usage for the part was pass car, the even/odd would be reversed for Corvette.

Mike G. I don't think that you can mix up the shock mounts as the knuckles have flats as so the shock mounts and they will not mix. Don't forget to face the camber bolts in the right direction.
