My Pertronix Ignitor II shot craps after only 18 months a couple of blocks from my home. No big deal but it got me wondering: What small engine components and tools should I have on hand for 'issues' while out on the road? Can one switch out the Pertronix for points and condenser if needed? What other things should I be prepared to remedy?

Re: Mobile Tool Kit
I used to carry the tool kit and spare parts (along with some other vital products) for the road tour -- but I had a Suburban.I will photograph my tool roll from when I used to drive the 1970 later and post it up. With modern cars I carry a cell phone. That might be a useful tool for older cars as well.

Hey Dick; he posted it as '66. I don't think he wants to know what we do with the new cars.
I do see a lot of posts on here that the folks with Petronix or the like carry a set of points with them for "just in case." I don't have that kind of system, so no points in there.Terry- Top
