FI Plenum cover bolts

Rainy day project,cleaning up an old Fuel unit.The plenum cover bolts will not loosen up. Hate to snap them anyone have any experience with removing rusted bolts that are down under and hard to get to.
I have sprayed them and have them soaking in WD now.

WD 40 is a good lubricant and a superior rust inhibitor. As a penetrating oil, there are much better choices. Try Aerokroil or PB Blaster. I agree that you should soak it a while, the bolts are probably galled.

Robert, Not a good thing at all. You haven't lived until you break a couple of those bolts off. Here is my trick.
Remove the air meter assembly.
Then you can see inside the plenum and be able to squirt the crap out of the studs. I use Aero Kroil penetrating oil available on line but not in the stores.
Have patience. Let the penetrating oil work. Then hit it again with another dose of penetrating oil. Let it set for a few days.
Spraying the top of the bolts won't do anything. There are aluminum washers under them sealing the holes up. But try it anyhow.
