    '72 4 speed fan question

On my A/C '72 I'm checking out my fan speeds. Full left is off. In the next position I seem to have nothing, then in speeds 2, 3 and 4 all seems to be normal. I haven't check anything out yet, as I just found the problem tonight. I plan on checking the switch first, but assuming the switch and wiring are good to the fan, is the resistor in the plenum the only other thing that could be bad?

    Thanks.

Re: '72 4 speed fan question

Just had my "ah-ha" moment for the day. Shoulda done this first. Went to the archives and found a post from 2009 that answered my question, but if anyone want to chime in please do. The lowest speed on the switch ( first click to the right from far left "off" position) only works with the A/C on. In vent, heat or defrost only speeds 2 thru 4 work. If I'm wrong in my interpretation, please somebody slap me in the back of the head and correct me.
