    Bench test Headlamps

How do you bench test Power Beam or Halogen high beam headlamps with the 9 volt battery. I've done this before but the three terminals I think I need a jumper wire or something. Anyone know of hand?

I was rummaging some old storage closet and came across these packed away. Probably the easiest is plug them into the car and turn the lights on!

Did you mean 12 volts? And yes you need a third wire, one is ground, one will light low beam other will light high beam

Tom the 3 prong bulb is the Hi/Low bulb. The 2 prong bulb is Hi Beam only.
You can check your 3 prong bulb with just 2 wires101_1821.jpg by putting a ground wire to the center post then taking your hot and touching it to the right post it should burn low.
Then you can take the hot and touch it to the left post it should burn brighter than it did before. If only 1 side lights up the bulb is no good.
