Industry standard pricing?
Would like to know if there is some way of finding out industry average pricing for Machine shops.
Several questions come to mind...If you are already being charged for "assembly of the motor"
should there be additional charges for installing the timing chain and putting the rings on the pistons?
Is Hot tanking the heads a separate charge from hot tanking the block?
If a part is ordered that is not correct, should the customer have to pay the shipping/restocking fees?
When installing a new nitride hardened cam, with matching springs, how many of you would actually take the inner springs out, fire it up, then disassemble, replace springs and reassemble? IS THIS REALLY NECESSARY?
