A friend of mine asked my opinion on this 68. I'm not too keen on it. No picture of the pad, no mention of paperwork other than the fragment of the tank sticker. It looks like he removed a lot of the original parts and replaced them with repro's (seats, steering wheel, radio etc.) Does anyone know of this car? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/15104...fvi%3D1&_rdc=1

Re: Opinions on a 68 in Georgia
I do not know of this car but I do note in the eBay listing that the engine block is NOT listed as one of "The following components are original and have the correct part numbers and dates". The heads and exhaust manifolds are listed but not the engine block. Also, the engine block is not listed as one of the "correct items but not the original". The car looks real nice in the pictures, but if the price is reflective of an original motor, this would be my primary area of inquiry as there is no mention of the originality of the engine block and no pad stamp picture.- Top

He does have a way with words. Entertaining read
"giving this Stingray a good work out is a unique, explosive symphony of senses that is both thrilling and very intimidating. "
"With the engine bolted to an engine stand in my shop I felt both confidence and awe of the performance within this “heart of the beast” yet to be unleashed"
"The "special blend" fuel that is necessary does not pose a problem for me as I have a degree in Chemistry from Duke University. It does cost $8.00 a gallon. I will reveal this formula only to the next buyer."
