I am posting for a friend (new member), his 1963 is vin #30837S106523. What exhaust should this car take? Apparently there is an early and late exhaust. I plead ignorance (easy to do) as I have never had a '63. Thanks, Don H,

Exhaust systems for 63's were the same for the entire model year. There wasn't an early/late. The system is unique to 63, though. -

Don, Hanson is correct of course but let me tell you how I messed up on my 63.
In the late 70's I bought an off road exhaust for my 9900 '63. Had it up in the attic for many years.
When the car was re-restored in 2006 or so I was very disappointed that the exhaust wouldn't begin to fit as it hit the tool boxes big time. Now if the car was a later 63 they would have fit. But I am sure the parts was listed as one that fit 63 to 67. But that's just a guess.
So at the week before my 63, the LWC was supposed to be at a Marlborough regional we had no exhaust system for it. But thanks to Allen's we had one shippped two day UPS. JD
P.S. Luckily the off road exhaust didn't fit as it would not have been correct for NCRS judging anyhow.Comment
