The major problem is that the production boots are not available, so you'll need to purchase an entire NOS ball joint.
One thing to be aware of is that these are 45 years old so some may have boots that have dried out, just check.

      Mark,

I know this discussion board is not meant to sell parts, but I am in possession of (2) NOS upper ball joints that are still in the GM box. If you are interested, shoot me an email at: goduti@att.net. Thanks.

This is why we need a For Sale section on this site!

I realize this is an old thread, but I'm trying to get the boot sleeve off my C2 upper ball joints. Before I do any damage, can someone tell me how to get it off?

I'm trying to save the boots and don't want to use heat. I'm gently tried to pry it up with a large flat bladed screwdriver, but it will not budge.

            Thanks,

            Don

Do not use a pickle fork to split the ball joint. I invested is a set of various pullers from Harbor Freight and used them. Must be a little creative however they worked fine for me.

I have the ball joint off the A-Arm already. I'm trying to get the sleeve off the ball joint that retains the boot. You can see it in the OPs post #1

On a new joint it the metal and rubber just slides off! But who has new any more, so I would soak in a rust remover solution for a few days and see if that works. Use a very weak rust remover, Harbor Freight has some at a decent price in gal containers. Do a search on the board for some names - I do not have my list with me, but in the past have listed.
