So what's the correct final torque for these 4 bolts? The '67 Chassis Service Manual says 65 ft. lbs. but you never know, I've seen other mistakes in this book. What do all of you use? I don't want to over torque them.

      Patrick -

      Per the Assembly Manual, they're 55-75 ft-lbs. (UPC 4, sheet B1, item #7, torque symbol 1).

        Thanks John,

I remember several years ago, I was rebuilding the disc brakes on my '67, took them off and completely apart. When I went to put it all together, I checked the Chassis Service Manual for the torque specs. In the back of the book under brake specifications, Section 5, the Torque Chart indicated that the Caliper Half retaining bolts were to be torqued to 130 lbs.! Not a chance, I was told here that it was more like 50 ft. lbs. PT
