Spring Ring Battery Terminals
How do you get spring ring terminals to grip the battery posts? When the cable was off the post, I did squeeze the spring ring, making the opening smaller. But when I install it on the post, it opens up again. Banging the terminal down with a hammer only opens up the ring more. The best I can do is hand tight - I give it a little turn as I push down on it. But I am able to remove it the same way. Seems that it'll fall off after a few bumps on the road. When installed, the terminal is flush with the top of the battery post. Is there some clamp or something I can put on there to hold it better and remove for judging?

Are you sure you have the correct cables? Mine from LL fit perfect. -

I believe I have the right cables. I got them from Paragon. I believe that Lectric Limited makes them for Paragon (and everybody else).
The cable terminal fits all right. It's just not very tight.Comment

I have these cables on 6 cars with no problem.Have Paragon send you another set and return these.You should not have to bang the cables to install them correctlyComment
