    Original 67 Corvette Bolt-on Wheel caps markings

    There have been two or three issues of the 67 Bolt-on wheel caps I believe. What is the correct markings for the original caps? I have one that has 552244 and 3908161 with PMC below the numbers and a circle with hash marks.Thank You

      Tim, I am going by memory and please forgive me if I am mistaken but I believe OEM caps had an HC stamping on the back of the cap. Another thing is the red coloring is slightly darker than the bright red that are seen on the over the counter caps.

              Steve is correct. The originals were HC stamped, and the service replacements were stamped PMC. The shades of the red are also different between the 2 caps. I have some NOS ones of each, so if you a picture or two, let me know. Be happy to send them to you....Regards....ARA
