I have a replacemnt in the car which is not configured correctly and want to replace it with a correct unit. Just looking at it it appears that if I remove the fan and fan shroud, etc, etc, that I can replace the unit without removing the hood. I know this is a simple question that many have experience with. I'd just like to know the path before I start the job. Thanks.

The hood is easy to remove and I think you'll find it a lot easier than trying to R&R the radiator without hood removal. Just make sure you mark the exact outline of the hinges on the hood so that you can easily reinstall it.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

I would hope so! The DeWitts reproduction of the GM #3155316 radiator is one of the best reproduction parts of any kind on the market. Not only is it very correct, it's also perfectly functional and at least as good as the originals. This is a part that once-upon-a-time I thought would never come onto the reproduction market but Tom DeWitt utterly surprised me.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Larry be sure to use some masking tape on the fender edges around the hood area an the hood to, this will help protect the paint. You never know.New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top
