Any ideas on retracing the type of wheels (Alumn. or Steel) and color of side walls for a 1966 with a birth date of June 16th 1966?

Any suggestions of tire vendors?

If you're talking about finding out what wheels and tires the car was originally delivered with, the only way you can do that is by having original documentation such as an invoice, window sticker, or build sheet if you are lucky enough to find one somewhere in the car. Otherwise, there's no way to know.

In my opinion, the best and most accurate reproduction tires out there are the Goodyears offered by Kelsey Tire.

PS, I think originally the white walls were rayon and the goldline were nylon, I think both at Kelsey are nylon.

Check what spare carrier hinge bolt and lock bolt you have (and hope they're the orignals). In some years, these varied according to type of wheel, and in some case the type of sidewall. Details in Noland's Vol 2.

As Wayne has said the length of the bolts for the spare tire tub if orignal to the car can be an indicator of a gold wall tire and KO wheels. Also if original to the car the jack instructions on the under side of the jack storage compartment cover are different for the steel wheels than the KO's
