Well, considering the flowery write-up and the reserve price, it should be one of the most famous '67s in existence.....Big Tanks In the High Mountains of New Mexico- Top

That's great, so refreshing to actually see an auction ad for a '67 L71 that is accurate and truthful for a change. This car seems to be missing only 1 thing, a tank sticker, but nothing is really completely perfect I guess....Big Tanks In the High Mountains of New Mexico- Top

Re: Nice car on auction, nice expected price too....
The NCRS Document Validation Service which has never been ordered for the paperwork present can validate an MSO, an original dealer invoice, etc.
That service has not been ordered for this car, the paperwork has not been validated by NCRS, the shipping data report does not validate paperwork.
I have seen numerous authentic real cars with counterfeit paperwork generated to make them appear as more than they are, it simply taints the truth in my mind when that occurs. This paperwork may be legit and real it again has not been validated, authenticated or confirmed by NCRS as the write up insinuates.- Top

Roy, I know you can validate the mso with a serial # proving it goes with that car. My question is, if you are given a tank sticker only to validate with no serial # on the tank sticker can you validate it in goes to a certain serial numbered car?

Re: Nice car on auction, nice expected price too....
The answer to your question is yes we can validate a specific tank sheet belongs to a specific VIN.
In fact just as with the tank sheet we validate the MSO not based on the VIN but rather based on a separate string identifier on the MSO which belongs to the VIN.
That’s the basis of the Document Validation Service it uses several sets of string identifiers which are unique to the vehicle and appear on each original GM document.
Each VIN has unique string identifiers.Last edited by Roy S.; May 1, 2013, 02:33 PM.- Top
