    Dick

That makes sense and is consistent with what I have learned from John Hinckley about 1978, wheel caps and other Pace Car items that were different than base coupes. He stated that the factory assembled and would not have taken the time to paint stuff and, I would think especially a sway bar that every vehicle was equipped with.

One more point. I do not believe the tag had a broadcast code, but rather a part number. I say this because I have purchased a few sway bars (std. suspension & F-41) over the counter at the Chevrolet dealership and found that there was a part number, not a broadcast. I have seen the aforementioned with yellow tags. Again, over the counter, not on original cars. Yes I have observed and judged numerous Bowtie/Survivor cars with the tag.

        Hi Ron,
It sounds like the tags were added to the Bowtie/Survivor cars, yes, no?

I can't speak for what Ron has seen, but most the ones I have seen on BowTei/Survivor cars the tags were clearly original to the car.

Terry - I believe that it what I said or was trying to say. Yes, I have seen the tags on some original cars. Not all as the tags were subject to deteration.

I knew what you were trying to say. I was responding to Gene, and he addressed you specifically. I didn't want to appear to be answering for you. It's all good Ron.
