    1969 L36 Pulley Finishes

I'd appreciate some guidance regarding the finishes/colors on the pulleys (and related items) listed below on my L36 (July 69) with A/C, PS and A.I.R. I have Dobbins' 1968 - 1972 Stingray Fact Book, but it only states "semi-flat back" for pulleys - no details. I've searched the archives, but I'm still not sure.

Idler pulley, bearing and assembly and mounting stud.
    Power steering pulley.
    Alternator pulley and fan.

Is there an "authoritative" guide out there any where for this sort of information? I'm well aware that GM was far from consistent with such matters.

    Thanks folks,
    Mike

    Mike------

I believe the idler pulley itself (which was part of an assembly) was zinc plated. The bearing was natural. The mounting stud was black phosphate

The power steering pump pulley was cast iron and had a thin black phosphate-like finish.

The alternator pulley was zinc plated. The fan was either zinc plated or fabricated from "pre-punch" galvanized material.
