Joe,"Sane, responsible, safe, and legal"? That's no fun! If I was responsible, I probably wouldn't be spending my money on 50+ year old Corvettes.

+1, and I just love having 638 HP and 604 lb.ft. on tap when I accelerate onto the Interstate, it is a rush to go from 0-80 in that monster flat out with your right foot buried and shifting like a maniac. Of course the interstates I am talking about are not the 405, the 5, the 110, or the 10 Joe.....

I met Zora, had some personal time with him and his wife. He was a car or I'll say it Corvette guy, always looking forward. If Zora had his way the Corvette would have been mid engine. Do I want or like that ? No. But the future is now. The new C7 Corvette is not mid engine.................. but it has come a long way and hopefully it will be around for another 60 years at least. Every Corvette person I know can't wait to see the C7 Corvette at the local Chevrolet dealer. Save the Wave.>George

The Corvette Museum’s Annual Bash was in full swing on Friday and the biggest crowds were always around the 2014 Corvette Stingray Coupe and Convertible on display in the conference room. But that didn’t mean there weren’t any other new Stingrays in the vicinity. This is Vette City after all. Hunting down the new model […]

I live in Milford, Mi. Proving grounds.

Walked around a silver C-7 this morning. Looks better than the drive-bys I have been seeing.

This one hangs out at the YMCA between 7 and 8:00 o'clock.

These were seen at the C5/C6 Bash at teh NCM this last weekend. I suspect it is no accident they were in this spot and parked this way.

Best photos are on page 2. Link should come up to page 2, but YMMV

The horsepower wars have already gotten to the absurd. As I've said many times before, there's no way one can actually use more than about 300 HP in a Corvette on the street in any manner that's sane, responsible, safe and legal. I absolutely don't promote any street operation of a Corvette that's not sane, responsible, safe, and legal. In fact, I think operation contrary to that gives Corvette guys a bad name.

By the way, I saw a "roadside memorial" set up the other day on Niles Canyon Road at the site of a head-on crash between a Dodge Viper and a pick-up truck several weeks ago. We don't know what actually caused the crash, but we do know that the Viper for "unknown reasons" crossed the center line. The driver won't be doing it again.
              Joe,

Well said! I also believe driving school should be mandatory when you purchase any car with absurd horsepower.

If anyone wants to buy me the base model hard top, I sure would take one, it looks amazing. Also, its a lot more car then I have ever had. My C3 won't handle it and my past Mustangs never came close. So anyone wants to give me 52000 I would kiss your feet and keep smiling driving the new model home. I love the tail lights and to be honest the car is just hot.
