    Interior detail questions

I replaced the directional signal cancelling switch and all that that entails. But the shroud that surrounds the switch on the steering column is not stationary what holds that in place so it doesnt rotate on column? And the brake light switch was mangled so i changed it and made the mistake of not photographing it. There is a condenser with 2 leads for this swich where do these two leads attach to?

For the brake light switch see Sec12 sheetB3.00 & sheet B6.00 The caps are under the radio section, so see SecU69 sheet6.00
Those references are for a 64 AIM, others should be similar.

The housing where the turn signal handle come out, has a retainer that goes into some slots on the mast jacket and screws hold it in place. You may find that some of the tabs have broken off or maybe the screws are just loose. I had to replace my mast jacket because one of the tabs was missing. If you find the tab, you can weld it back on. You just have to see what you find when you get it all apart. The AIM manual has some good pictures of the column and all of these parts.
