    C1 Steering shaft thread

Does anyone know the size of a die that I would need to clean up the threads on the steering wheel shaft were the steering wheel mounts? The threads are getting a little "loose" and it makes me nervous. Thanks, Tim

      Tim -

It's either 1/2"-20 or 9/16"-18; don't have one here to check.

Thanks guys for the info. I'll check this weekend. The nut is not backing out or anything so I may just leave it alone for now.Tim

            Tim,
Don't forget to stake the nut after tightening. That will prevent the nut from backing out. A center punch hit with a hammer in two or three locations will do the job.
