I have what I think is a correct 781 horn relay, and want to make sure I have the wires in the right order. I think I know which wire is which on the harness, but the relay is not labeled at all. Assuming the relay is mounted with the screw terminals toward the engine, can anyone tell me which terminal is for which wire? I have the large red wire from the battery, the tan wire from the horn button, and the black wire to the horns. On the wiring diagram (assembly manual) they are labeled HBS from left to right. But am concerned that isn't really showing how the relay actually physically looks, because just going by the lengths of the wires it looks like it should go the other way.
If anyone can just tell me which terminal the tan wire goes to (assuming the relay mounted with screw terminals toward the engine) is the tan wire front, middle, or back terminal?
I also noticed this: on my relay, the front-most terminal is silver, the center one is copper colored, and the rear one is gold or chromate colored. Not sure if these colors really mean anything.
Thanks!
