A friends 63 was judged yesterday by the St Louis Chapter . It was a fun day , Everybody was nice and the event was well planed . The car did get a top flight . My question is two things were brought up ,one is in the judging manual and is not correct . It says 63,s after vin # 11,000 had light gray fiberglass . This car is a St.Louis car and is # 20937 and has light gray doors with the rest being white glass including the floor pan & inner fender skirts. I installed a new left qt. panel ( light grey G.M part ), all other panels are white as built . I do have photos of it stripped . The next question is not in the manual . The head lamp mounting panel has two large center holes used to mount the header cross flag emblem .
This car has a lip or a flange area around the inside of the hole . One of the judges said it should be just a hole with no flange . I know its the original . He also said The rivits at the hood strikers were wrong ? again its the hood it was built with .Does anyone have any thoughts on this . Thanks Bill
