70-72 Gas Tamk Attaching Straps Finish?

    70-72 Gas Tamk Attaching Straps Finish?

    Installing the fuel tank on my 70: looking at the JM, it indicates "natural finish steel" for the attaching straps. Mine were painted black, but I know from the finish of the original tank-it had been out previously-perhaps they were painted at time, but they look like were always black. Please give feedback as to color/finish of the attaching straps, as you know they should be-best if you have an original untouched car.

              Like my counter parts said. Dipped in semi - gloss black paint. Try GM # 1050104.
