Hello to all; The metal nipple for the PVC hose - which is on the oil filler tube, broke off. Need to replace the oil filler tube with a new piece. I'm concerned that the removal from the block will be very difficult. Any advice on how to ease the task ? Thanks in advance.

remove cap, insert an oak(or similar hardwood) 1 to 1 1/2" diameter three foot long dowel( stout broom stick may suffice), then wiggle the hell out of the sucker. the fill tube will eventually leave home. good luck, mike- Top

when you replace it be careful not to force in too tight the flange on the aluminum can crack...then you will have an oil leak and will have to remove the intake..Bryan Hepper 42470 own a 56 and 65...- Top

David, you can also use a rubber mallet, lightly tap it back and forth. Left side, right side. It will loosen up and you can just pull it right out. Don't be too aggressive, but you'll need to 'persuade' it out. When you install the new one, use the same rubber mallet to seat it into the intake.
No big deal.
