there is no indication about the correct oil filterfor a 1963 corvette in the judging manual for top flight judging that I can find.

Is there a correct filter for judging?

Oil filter on a '63 is Canister style, the canister configuration and the silk-screened logo and instructions are judged. The filter itself (inside the canister) is not judged.

Ken, there's a picture of the assembly in Post #10. There are also a lot of threads on this in the archives, and probably some better pictures.
