The PV manual and new 68/69 JG both state that when the heater control left thumb wheel (air control) is in the off position on a non A/C car that the fan motor should not function. I have studied the AIM and 69 service manual wiring diagrams and see no switch that would make the fan not function . There is a switch in the C60 section that turns the fan off when the air control is off The JG says that the 68 owners manual says that 68 the fan would operate with the thumb wheel in the off position but it is not recommended. My original 69 owners manual says in the heater section that the fan is inoperative with the thumb wheel in the off position In a one paragraph and later says that the fan should not used with the heater doors closed (just like the 68) . The fan motor on my car works with the air control in the off position. I have an extra control and see no switch on it. Am I not seeing something in the JG and AIM that would turn the fan off with the air control wheel? Thanks for any help.

Re: 69 heater fan bypass
IIRC it says the same thing in the 70-72 JG, it's wrong. The fan will work (on non-A/C cars)with the left thumb wheel in the OFF position.
