There are others. Arthur Gould is one and has been mentioned here quite a bit. A search for that name in the archives should yield contact info. There's also a new rebuilder that I've seen advertised in the Driveline but I don't really know anything about them. They do have a large ad, though, so you should be able to find it easily.

As far as typical cost, I don't know. I get my high quality rebuilt waterpumps from a guy named Joe Lucia but he only rebuilds waterpumps for Joe Lucia.

Joe, I had my 57 pump rebuilt by Chevy Cool. Very good turnaround - a week or so- and was under $100 (2 years ago). I have not had the motor running yet, but it pump looks very good, pulleys line up, etc, so I do not anticipate any problems. He also has a good inventory of used pumps, so if one wanted to, they could probably buy a correct one from him. His name is Ron Burke, good guy to talk to on the phone. I would recommend him.

Arthur Gould charges $80 + return shipping to rebuild a core provided by customer.

Joe, I purchased one from Chevy Cool off ebay, he supplied the correct build date/part number for my car. About $120 or so no core, but he does buy used cores. He does advertise in the Driveline also.

Joe gives Joe a very good deal. Sometimes, he even does it for free and doesn't even charge for the parts used.

Very quick turnaround with Arthur Gould. When he did mine a few years ago, he turned it around in only a couple days. I had it back to my house in about 10 days after it left.
