Re: Judging in the rain @ bowling green
Apparently some people do not have a sense of humor. If you have never judged with Mark or myself, you have missed a treat.Iffen ya can't make a little joke about yourself and those around you..........

Re: Judging in the rain @ bowling green
I live about 1.5 hours from BG. Last forecast I saw predicted a line of convective weather to push through around 0930 Thursday and a cold rain for a while after that. As Jerry said, should be OK for flight judging.
I'm judging 83 interiors so, I'll try to remain clean.Kramden- Top

My God man- 83 interiors? You'll be exhausted after the doing first 8. I find it tough to do 5-6 in a day. No wonder your knuckles drag on the ground. Someone should you a beers as thanks.- Top

Re: Judging in the rain @ bowling green
Never thought of it before and don't recall a prohibition against it but I guess you could take a pop-up and if weather comes in erect it over the car. Interior judging in the rain beats chassis judging in the rain.- Top

First ever Regional for the SouthEast Chapter was on the lawn at Stone Mountain. It came one of those genuine "frog stanglers" during judging, complete with the boom-boom and bright lights. After judging was over the chassis judges looked like they had been mud wrestling with Donnally's hogs. Wet, muddy, you name it.Dick Whittington- Top

Come think of it, given your professional life of sitting at the front of the bus, i wouldn't think any geeses at all would be funny.- Top

Re: Judging in the rain @ bowling green
Interior judging is not much better, just maybe not as messy. I have judged with owners holding umbrellas over the door so water would not enter the car, but it didn't keep it off my back. We used a pop-up tent at a chapter meet to partially cover the car, but it wasn't quite wide enough. Water pooled on top and the weight would periodically dump a load of water onto my lower back and legs. When I finished, I looked as if I had waded in the ocean with my jeans on.- Top

The last time I asked to judge 83 cars they gave me your phone no. and said Mark is the only guy who knows 83's . you'll have to ask him. Is it time yet Mark??? I was wondering if you ever saw the new seat option for 83, Passenger side ejection seat,it was only activated from the drivers steering wheel,I can think of a few good reasons for that option. I hate rejection, and maybe my mother-in-law.New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top
