    1962 body shimming

I have replaced the frame on my 62 and have to start fresh on the body shimming. Anyone have an idea how each mounting point affects the gapping? i.e. doors, hood, trunk. My trunk seems to be not sitting flush.
    Thanks for any direction.

I'd be interested in hearing as well. I'm in the same situation on my 59.

start with about 4 shims on each mount, and snug them up . Check your door gaps , The gap should be level at the rocker area . If it is wide at the top (front or rear) remove shims at the cowl or behind the door , If the deck lid is wide add shims on the rear mount this will also close the gap at the top of the door. do one side at a time. If you counted the shims on the old frame start there .

What affect does the front mount have? The hood? Or do you pretty much leave those at four?
