    1962 Radiator Schroud Paint

Can anyone tell me what color the fan schroud on a 1962 is supposed to be? Is it gloss black or a flat black, currently it looks to be flat. I received my new DeWitts correct /dated radiator and it is gloss black. The original radiator looks to be flat also. However, this could be the age of it. Thank You in advance.

    Elwyn -

The stamped steel '62 fan shroud was flow-coat primed semi-gloss black at St. Louis. Gloss black is correct for the radiator - it was painted at Harrison.
