    '66 glove box door

    Two days ago, I asked if the brushed aluminum on the glove box door had a clear coat on it or was it bare aluminum. The answer I got was bare aluminum.I just removed and disassembled the door to find that the aluminum definitely was coated when new.Does the replacement from Corvette Central have a similar coating or is it bare aluminum and must be coated before reassembly?
    I appreciate any help. Thanks Doug

      Our part number 252036 is anodized aluminum.

      It is our understanding that the GM replacement door was clear coated.
