    C2 Master Cylinder

Just removed brake master cylinder from my 63 Split Window Coupe. It has casting number 5462389 and, I assumed, the Borg-Warner? Logo. There is also a number stamped just below the casting number R5. What does it mean? Also, there is a stamping on the bottom of the bowl "A163" with an embossed slotted screw head on either side. What does this mean?
Would also like to know if the conical top and thumbscrew are plated.

The A163 is the date of manufacture of the part. Januaary 16, 1963. I think the R5 is the casting or mold number. I believe the top and screw are cad plated.
