C1 Brass tie strap

I am original owner of 57. There were 4 tie straps under Inst. Panel; 3 brass and 1 steel . The steel one was spot welded in the middle to make it 4" long. Two brass ones are 4 3/4" long and the third is 3 1/2 " long. Corv. Cent. Cat shows 4 brass for washer hoe on p 147 and 4 for wire harness on p 148. They are not shown in A.I.M.

Problem is I forgot where they came from and I failed to make a sketch or note. Can anybody help define this? Or was it an "as req'd" based on various option combinations?

Frank, I have access to photos under the dash for a 54 but I don't know if they're the same. I tried to upload photos today to this post and one other but it isn't working (not sure why cause I've done it many times before) and I will try again later. If you don't here from anyone else with a 57 I can email the photos to you if it would help. Good luck, Eric

Eric, I would also be interested in your '54 under-the-dash photos, so I hope you can upload them. I have a '54 and have some brass ties, yet to be installed. Any guidance I can get on where they are supposed to go would be helpful. Thanks, Pete

Eric and Peter, I am going to Bowling Green Regional this week. If I learn anything useful I'll take pictures and pass them on,if not Eric, I'll bug you for your pictures. Thanks for your replies.
