    '67 steering knuckle paint dabs

In cleaning up and trying to restore my chassis, I have uncovered some orange paint remnants on the steering knuckles under the caked on grease/dirt. It appears to be the remains of a larger area of orange paint, as referred to in the manual. The question is, should I just clean it up and leave it, or should I repaint it to fill in the missing areas? Thanks for opinions.

Mike I had some original markings on my 72 that I left alone and cleaned around them, Sometimes a wire brush will help with rust.

OK, thanks, that is probably the way to go.
