Thnx, Terry. No touchy needed. I'm gonna come up with a reasonable facsimile for my 69 as I want to present it prior to prep. Was the protective covering only on the driver side. Can't remember what the AIM shows and I'm currently not home...

Bob: Those look to be C4 mats. I remember them for sure in the 93 to 96's

AIM shows both sides. Both same part # . Cover-Floor Mat 3829391

I'll take a trip to wherever you are at, and I'll buy the brewskies. You ought to be able to arrange that peretty easily. I'll even settle for the jump seat.

I really don't want to become the floor protector go-to-guy. I guess I just don't understand all this excitement about something no one judges.

Oh and to address your question, I have no idea what your floor protectors came from, but I am glad Tom is stepping in to fill the breach.

Larry, I am not sure what AIM you are working from, but the protector Ralph photographed has "Left Hand 473227" stamped on it. I don't have an AIM new enough to look for those protectors.

It was from the 1969 AIM, in response to Mark's question. Also, in the revision record on that sheet (UPC 0 Sheet C2) it states "Cover-Floor Mat DWG Added" dated 11-11-68. Maybe earlier Corvettes did not have the Covers ?

Ah ha. That explains the difference to Ralph's item.

It is hard for me to believe there was not some kind of carpet protection in the Corvettes before 1969. From the beginning they were driven on and off of car transporters, rail cars, and around dealerships and the folks doing that task didn't take off their shoes before they got into the car.
