1968 BB AC Idler Pulley issue

The AIM shows the 68 idler pulley for the BB AC with a spacer 3925594 behind the bottom mounting bolt. Now that I am adding PS, the spacer seems to be removed and the AIM shows a "pivot bolt" but does not list a part number. Two qustions: what is the pivot bolt (or what does it look like). The idler pulley does not seem to fit correctly when it is bolted right to the PS bracket (looks like it needs at least a washer as a spacer).

Any help from 68 BB AC PS experts?

Re: 1968 BB AC Idler Pulley issue

It looks like I could uses a washer (or washers) behind the idler pulley mounts to align the pulley with the crank pulley. This does not match the AIM. Is there a judging problem with doing that?
