    Torque values for clutch install.

I have searched the ST12 and my 1962 Motors manual and can't find a recommeded torque value for the clutch to flywheel bolts.
Based on the bolt size 3/8" X 16 looks like the value should be 30 ft. lbs.
Can someone confirm the correct value?

    Bruce,

I went looking for this information a couple of months ago. I don't remember where I found it, maybe one of the Chevy car manuals.

i came up with: pressure plate - 35 ft lbs, bellhousing - 25 ft lbs, transmission (manual) - 40 - 50 ft lbs.

    I hope this helps.

My 71 service manual has 35 for the pressure plate and 30 for the bell housing. My 63-64 service manuals did not have a torque value for the pressure plate to flywheel when I looked.

I have attached the scanned torque chart from the 66 shop manual for reference. I am re assembling major components and this has been a great help to me.

            Thanks everyone.
