I have this hopefully last problem getting the convertible top installed on my 1960. There is a small piece of weatherstrip that is connected to the rear bow and the top frame (see blue arrow in the first picture below). The second picture is of the actual piece attached to a piece of wood simulating how it attaches to the rear bow.
We had to drill and tap the bow to attach the weatherstrip. The top frame is a restored frame with what I assume is a reproduction rear bow. However, we have Al Knoch's top install video and it shows clearly these two pieces of weatherstrip being screwed to the bow.
What we are having trouble with is where and how the other end of the weatherstrip attached to the backside of the vertical piece of top frame just behind the rear of the door glass. The guy installing my top has not install a C1 top in a while, but he believes the the weather strip end attaches under one of the T-nuts that holds the door glass weatherstrip/retainer, and then also screws into a small hole beside the T-nut. However to do this, that end of the weatherstrip must be twisted 180 degrees to make it fit into these two holes. Just doesn't look right to me.
Hopefully someone can tell my or have pictures!!!
Thanks,
Don
