Frustrating contraptions these c2 headlights. What does the adjusting stud on the motor adjust. My car when found had had the headlights completely scavenged off so i have to completely recreate. Just when i think i am making progress i find i need another washer, bushing, or sleeve etc. The electrical problems persist the motors work fine but the harness connections are sketchy. The rewiring on my 60 was much more straight forward. Maybe i should just get a repro wire harness set and be done with it

Re: C2 headlight motor
The adjustment stud is NOT to adjust the motor speed. It is there to only adjust the armature within the housing of the motor. If you adjust the armature too tight it will in-fact slow the motor, but at the same time it will wear the internals of the motor.
The harness is a simple plug into the motor and one ground wire. Can you explain the harness problem with some more detail.

Re: C2 headlight motor
The "adjusting stud" sets the end play of the armature. Back the jam nut off and with a screw driver you will be able to turn the stud. Turning the armature and thumb wheel with your fingers, set the stud so that the armature turns freely and there you have it. You can bench run your motor and turn the stud in and out and see the difference it makes in the speed of the motor. The stud almost touching the armature is what I go for. Make sure you bench run the motor in both directions.
