Re: Judging question .
Right here. Car Award Confirmation Service is available to reseach if the car was NCRS judged.
NCRS is pleased to include in the list of available services within the hobby the addition of an Award Confirmation Document. This document will provide a complete listing from our NCRS database of the available award statistics for a specific Corvette. NCRS records date back to the mid/late eighties in many cases. The Award Confirmation Document could provide an important link or be the missing piece to a vehicles history. This service includes a copy of the Shipping Data Report for your car if it is available for your model. The cost for this service will be $300 USD. Pay by Credit Card or PayPal.Jack Corso

You need to send that question directly to the Chief: Roy Sinor, National Judging Chairman. Contact information is in the button at the top of the page that is labeled "CONTACTS"Terry- Top

Re: Judging question .
Ron,
My best guess is that the car is in the database regardless of the score, but as I said before "only someone with access to the database can answer that," I do not have that access so all you get from me is my guess.
I will give you another guess: Roy is at the auction in Houston -- at least I think there is one going on there. Next week he will be at the NCRS Regional in Bowling Green, KY. If this question is still outstanding, and if I think of it, I will ask him in Bowling Green.Terry- Top

Re: Judging question .
Thanks, Terry. My main question is, even if it stays in the database, would it be accessible to someone regardless of whether or not it won an award, or only if it won something. The car I am having judged has not yet been gone thru completely and if it wins nothing at this point, I would like to know ahead of time whether or not it would count against the car. If yes, I would rather pull out of judging and go thru the car more extensively first.- Top

Re: Judging question .
The car is judged as presented on the day of judging. I believe the only time prior judging would factor in prior to the actual even, would be if the car had been branded as counterfeit and was presented for judging at the NCRS National Convention. That is the only event the Judging Office has prior knowledge of cars being presented.Dick Whittington- Top

Re: Judging question .
Ron,
The answer to your question is yes, our database is comprehensive and includes all cars presented for judging regardless of score.

Subject: award database
Roy, if a car is judged, but receives NO AWARD, would that info be available in the NCRS database? Or only if it was awarded something? I am new to the NCRS and I plan to have a new purchase judged this May at my local chapter meet. I know that it still has some issues, but am more interested in the experience than an award. So it would be helpful to know this info up front.
Thanks,

Re: Judging question .
Kind of like taking a test and failing. Would that not look bad on a car's record? AM I being overly concerned here??I am not sure what you mean by the bolded statement. The only person who gets to keep the score sheets is the owner. NCRS only records the total points of each area: Operations, Interior, Exterior and so on. The driving points and total score are also recorded along with the car, event, and owner information. So if the car doesn't score enough points for a Third Flight(75%) how is anything held against the car?
I will confess I haven't had my coffee yet this morning so maybe I am missing something obvious here.- Top
