Front Body Dimension 69-72 (Behind Front Bumper)

I am looking for the dimension of the body behind the front bumper. From center to center, or outer point to outer point. Or both.
With no front bumper, I need the dimension from the center point on the front to point on the opposite end above the side marker.

A picture might be best to see the dimension to that outer point and the recess after it and where the body surface starts again.

If your front bumper is off, any help would be appreciated.

My 63 AIM shows all the dimensions of the body. My 72 AIM does not. Does anyone know if the is a dimemsioned body drawing out therefor an early C3.

    Thanks,

Monte, my 68 is at the body shop and I am having an NOS top surround and NOS fenders installed. I can measure for you but I'm unclear of the dimension you seek.

      Mike,
The middle of the nose is self explanatory, I hope. The other end is where behind the bumper there is a body line that the bumper would fit in if it were against the body.

Without a front bumper on, above the side marker lights, there is an indentation that is the same shape as the outside end of the bumper. It comes to a point, just like the bumper. When you look at the car, it is hard to miss.

When you look above the front, side marker lights, about 3" or 4", you will see the point in the fiberglass that represents the other end point of the bumper. The outside point is actually a couple of inches of the actual bumper length. The car I am repairing right now has the whole thing filled in on a previous repair. I do not happen to have another car here to look at.

If you can, can you measure from the end point of the bumper to where the surface of the body starts again. Basically, the width of the indentation.

      Thanks,

If you can measure both sides, I would appreciate it.
