I've had a couple of posts on this topic and, as a result, plan to upgrade my belts to originals using Charlie at Seatbelt Sity who gets very good feedback on this site. Now, Charlie seems to know about everything regarding belts except one thing, whether the top line on the label is "Chevrolet" or "Corvette". He said all 63s were "Chevrolet" but doesn't know when "Corvette" was introduced in 64 or even if it was consistent. So here is the question: does anyone have a 64 car built in late 63 (or maybe January 64) who knows they have the original belts for that car? If so, I'd appreciate have ALL of the wording from that label, just to be sure.

Larry, If you have the new JM for 63/64 its in there.New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight. -

well..kinda except for the fact that a set of 64 Belts assembled in late 63 will have a "63" Date rather than a "64" date. The new JG states that seat belts in 64s will have a 64 date on the label regardless. Not so because 64 production stated in Aug 63. I would expect to see Corvette rather than Chevrolet on the 64 seat belt label.
