    BB Valve Cover Bolt Source?

66 JM calls for recessed 7/16 hex-head RBW bolts.

So far only able to find these with 3/8 hex-heads.

Would you know any sources that may carry the 7/16 size?

    Thank you,
    Ralph

Are you wanting assembly line original or a reproduction?

Richard Fortier for reproduction (and some original)

    Rich Pasqualone for original
    Kramden

      Ralph,

The head size and design will depend on the build time of the engine. Early production 66 used the same as 65, a 3/8" hex countersunk head screw. Later engines used a 7/16" hex conventional head screw.

I don't know exactly when the change occurred but I think it was somewhere around the middle of the model year.

For the 7/16" head design screw, there were a few different suppliers. RBW was not the only one.

Keith the ones LIC list for the 66 427 is P/N 22-23F --------- I asked him via e-mail and he specified the head was 3/8 hex.
I haven't checked with Paragon as of yet?
          Thank you!

Thank you Michael ---- I have an early car and decided to stay with the existing 3/8 hex RBW recessed head bolts. Ralph
