    C1 Frame Dimensions

    Hello from Berlin Germany

I just have a problem to find the right Frame Dimension chart for my 1962 C1 Frame.
All I can find are just some pictures from the Corvette Service Guide and Chilton Books.
But i need some more Information about the location of the Clutch tower and the rear
suspension related parts welded to the Frame. I have one chart the has some information
    and dimensions A = 26.28 and so on. But the pictures also shows a AA,BB,CC and DD have I double the A , B , C ??

Any helpful Information , please let me know.

    Thanks Berndt

    Berndt,

Recommend searching the Technical and Archives forums. FAQ's contain good how to search the forums information.

Most questions and answer have been posted before.

Previous thread with 1961 frame dimensions.

        Re: C1 Frame Dimensions

        Berndt,

The clutch tower location drawing should be in the 1962 AIM.

Attached is a copy of the 1956-7 AIM clutch tower location.

I don't know if 1962 is the same or not. If you don't have a 1962 AIM, maybe one of the 1962 guys will reply of the 1962 AIM clutch tower information.

        Good luck,

        Gary

It is the " Assembly Instruction Manual' AIM for short, it is available at the NCRS store (link at the top of the page) or most Corvette parts vendors.

                  Berndt,

If you are working on or restoring a C1 there are at least two document that you will need. The AIM as indicated above and the ST-12 (1953-62 Corvette Servicing Guide ST-12). They are both available through the NCRS store. Here are a couple of quick links to get you there:
