    Casting/Stamping numbers

Trying to buy a '58. Dealer showing casting date of 3/16/58 and stamping shows 3/18/58. Is a two day turnaround possible?

Interesting 3/16/58 was a Sunday they probably ran 24/7....my guess would be yes. One of '65 heads are real close like that to the engine build date.

Someone with more experience than me should weigh in.

Three days is the most common gap, and some small blocks have been observed cast and built the same day. So a two gap is not unusual.
