    1954 water pump heater hose nipple

    Please see attached picture. Is this what the original heater hose nipple on the six cylinder water pump should look like? It is 1-1/2" long. With this nipple, there is little to no room to install a Corbin clamp on the heater hose because it interferes with the lower radiator hose. I'm wondering if the original nipple might have been longer in order to get its clamping area out of the way of the radiator hose. Thanks for your help.

      I have never seen that nipple....
      Ones I have seen are longer......

          Pete, I've attached a photo that shows the one on the engine I am currently restoring. It is correct. EricHeater hose connections.jpg
