    Replacing shocks on a '67

I have finally located proper A/C Delco gray shocks for my '67. Now, how difficult is it to replace them. I have a 4-post lift, a floor jack, etc., but what is the proper procedure for this. Thanks for any help, I have never done shocks before.

The front shocks are very easy. It helps to have the K-D tool, available a good auto parts stores, for holding the upper shaft by the flats on its sides while you remove the nut. Then just remove the bolts holding it to the lower A-arm and it falls out.

The rear shocks limit the downward travel of the rear suspension. It is necessary to lift the rear spindle carrier with floor jack to compress the shock a little so that it is not under tension when you remove the upper bolt and lower nut.
