AC Delco Group 24 Batteries
Anybody buy a Group 24 AC Delco battery lately? I wish to buy one for judging. But I can't determine which one of their Group 24 batteries will fit under the hold-down in my '62.
Their "Professional" series battery has extensions or "wings" on the top. Usually they serve as brackets for the carrying strap. With other manufacturers, I've found that those extensions interfere with the hold-down. I know I can hacksaw them off. But I'd rather not.
AC Delco also makes a 60 Series battery. From the pictures on their website, it looks like this battery doesn't have these extensions.
I'm wondering if anybody has recently bought an AC Delco battery for their C1, C2, or C3, and did it fit under the hold-down. The tray doesn't look to be a problem.
