Re: 1967 RH Mirror
A 67 I sold recently had a R/H mirror that was installed by someone a long time ago! It looked good and worked well. It was a was a original mirror installed with GM hardware.

Re: 1967 RH Mirror
I've heard it was a dealer-installed accessory, and wasn't that uncommon. It's true that cars didn't come from the factory with RH mirrors installed. I added one to my '67 primarily for the little bit of added safety, since I do drive the car, and secondarily because I like the symmetry. I measured the location of the LH mirror, and mounted the RH one in the corresponding location on the RH door and it looks good (my opinion only).

Re: 1967 RH Mirror
The opinion of people on this board has been that putting the RH mirror in the same spot as the LH mirror makes it unusable because the vent window framework blocks the view from the driver's seat. Are you able to use the mirror while in the driver's seat?Bill Lacy

Re: 1967 RH Mirror
No problems for me, either. I imagine the driver's height would make a difference, but I'm only 5'6" so I have the seat relatively close to the steering wheel. I think that taller drivers with the seat farther back wouldn't have issues at all. Your mileage may vary, though. I'd suggest a trial run by taping the mirror temporarily and checking it out personally if anyone is adding a mirror and has concerns.- Top
